Ancient technology conspiracies involve academia, such as the Smithsonian, covering up lost and unique ancient robotics (automatons) from Pre-civilizations. Some technologies are also recorded in ancient texts and scriptures, but are tossed off as myth.

Antikythera mechanism[]

Antikythera mechanism was found in a wreck off the coast of the Greek island Antikythera. It is a complex clockwork mechanism composed of 37 meshing bronze gears, enabling it to follow the movements of the moon and the sun through the zodiac, to predict eclipses and even to model the irregular orbit of the moon, where the moon’s velocity is higher in its perigee than in its apogee.

Samarangana Sutradhara[]

Samarangana Sutradhara describes town planning, house architecture, temple architecture and sculptural arts together with Mudras (the different hand poses and the poses of the body as well as the postures of legs), the canons of painting, and a chapter on the art of mechanical contrivances, the yantras.

It also includes a chapter about the decoration of palaces, which describes the construction of mechanical contrivances (automata), including mechanical bees and birds, fountains shaped like humans and animals, and male and female dolls that refilled oil lamps, danced, played instruments, and re-enacted scenes from Hindu mythology.[1][2][3]

Vaimāna[]

Vaimānika Shāstra describes the building of various Vimanas. Vimana are described as telepathic-controlled levitation ships. It is rumored that, to be able to control a Vimana, one has to learn self-levitation (Laghima) first.

Various ancient cultures have engravings of flying machines, but Vimana is the first documented ancient flying machine.
