The Adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader dies after contracting coronavirus at the start of the pandemic in March 2020,[1] and up to 8% of Iran's parliament was reported to have suffered from coronavirus with a number of high ranking officials having succumbed to COVID-19 disease.[2] The bioweapon attack follows at the heals of the assassination of Iran's top general Qasem Soleimani by US led drone attack.[3]
