Osama bin Laden

Osama bin Laden

The Death of bin Laden involves the operations that were used to assess, seek and kill Osama bin Laden. In April 2011, President Obama ordered a covert operation to kill or capture bin Laden. On May 2, 2011, the White House announced that SEAL Team Six had successfully carried out the operation, killing him in his Abbottabad compound in Pakistan.[1]

Conspiracy

In 2011, US President Obama took the advantage to have Osama bin Laden killed to secure a second term for Presidency in the 2012 United States presidential election.

The Bush administration had already pinned bin Laden as a scapegoat for the destruction of the Twin Towers during the 9/11 events. US intelligence agencies easily targeted bin Laden based on his ideologies and pronouncements against the United States, and knew of his whereabouts for ten years.

According to former CIA analyst Michael Scheuer, who led the CIA's hunt for Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaeda leader was motivated by a belief that U.S. foreign policy has oppressed, killed, or otherwise harmed Muslims in the Middle East.[2]

Bin Laden criticized the U.S. for its secular form of governance, calling upon Americans to convert to Islam and "reject the immorally acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling, and usury", in a letter published in late 2002.[2]

Bin Laden believed that the Islamic world was in crisis and that the complete restoration of Sharia law would be the only way to "set things right" in the Muslim world.[2]
