Knights of the Golden Circle was a pro-slavery secret society in the mid-nineteenth-century United States. The Knights consisted of many famous individuals including: Sam Houston, Jesse James, and John Wilkes Booth. Many believe that Booth wasn't working alone in the assassination of Lincoln and that the involvement of the Knights has been covered up.
The Knights are also famous for burying golden coins across the country so they could finance a second Civil War if it would ever happen. Many believe that the Saddle Ridge Hoard was put there by the Knights.
