The CDC outright denies the existence of metal being in any of the COVID-19 vaccines, dumbing down the seriousness of certain finds, by myth busting 'being magnetic'.[1]

However, a metallic particle ingredient was discovered in up to at least three lots of Moderna shipments to Japan. Big media is reporting the ingredient as "contaminates". The metallic particles are reportedly identified as "stainless steel".

In a joint statement by Takeda and Moderna, they justify the component as follows: "Stainless steel is routinely used in heart valves, joint replacements and metal sutures and staples. As such, it is not expected that injection of the particles identified in these lots in Japan would result in increased medical risk,"[2]
