The Ocean acidification conspiracy charges Global warming scientists for pinning Carbon Dioxide (CO2)[1] as the main cause for Ocean acidification. However, Carbon Dioxide has always been present in our atmosphere. The changes to our atmosphere began since the Industrial Revolution, with the dumping of carbonate ions in rivers and oceans.

Ocean acidification is the ongoing decrease in the pH of the Earth's oceans, caused by carbonate ions(CO32e-) from industrial waste. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the pH of surface ocean waters has fallen by 0.1 pH units. Since the pH scale, like the Richter scale, is logarithmic, this change represents approximately a 30 percent increase in acidity.

Industrial waste with carbonate ions(CO32e-):

  • CaCO3 : Calcium carbonate
  • Na2CO3 : Sodium Carbonate

FORMULA: CO2 + H2O + CO32e- = 2HCO3e-

  • Carbon Dioxide + Water + Calcium Carbonate = Calcium Bicarbonate
  • Carbon Dioxide + Water + Sodium Carbonate = Sodium Bicarbonate
