Shelby Tyler Jones, 20, was killed on Sunday, March 1, 2020, near Fort Hood Street, Killeen, Texas, USA.[1][2]

Shelby Jones was a SPC in the U.S. Army who served honorably in Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) with Longknife Squadron, 3d Cavalry Regiment. SPC Jones is known for his self-less service in Iraq earing him various medals. While enjoying personal time on a weekend in February SPC Jones was shot in cold blood and left for dead at the site of the shooting. SPC Jones friends attempted to transport him to a hospital while he suffered from a gunshot wound. SPC Jones friends pulled over to a convivence store (likely to help SPC Jones survive the traumatic wound) when SPC Jones unfortunately succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. SPC Jones is remembered for his self-less service in the U.S. Army.
