Treaty of 1213 was a treaty between King John and the Pope. In this treaty the British lands of Ireland and England were pledged to the Pope and only two people were able to dissolve the treaty. Those two were the Pope and the British monarch. The treaty also includes any other British colonies and land that the British had conquered. This includes the USA and other conquered lands. The treaty stands even under the U.S. constitution and any lands that were conquered by the former British empire still count. This leads many to believe that this treaty means that the Pope owns the world.
